Australian Schools - the PASS Program
The Partnerships with Australian and Sabah/Sarawak Schools (PASS) is a unique
program with cross-cultural dimensions that provide young people and their
communities an opportunity to shape the world in which we live.

Participants from primary and secondary schools can establish long-lasting
relationships with their student peers in Sabah
/Sarawak, Malaysia, developing
better cultural understanding, academic excellence, leadership skills and citizenship
qualities that mutually benefit all parties.  Students are given the opportunity to
appreciate a deeper understanding of the shared historical heritage of both
nations, at the same time supporting the development and needs of students in
Sabah
/Sarawak schools.
The Partnerships with Australian and Sabah Schools (PASS) program is supported by the
Commonwealth through the Australia-Malaysia Institue of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade
Students from participating schools are introduced to the events and outcomes
important aspects of a shared Australian/Sabah history and heritage that will
ensure the efforts of all parties during this period of great struggle for freedom will
not be forgotten.

Each school in the program is encouraged to have their own sponsoring body that
oversees the competition, raises funds for the winning party and selects the
winner(s) of each prize.
